Opportunity for ministry in Real Estate
One of the things that I like about being involved in Real Estate as an investor are the opportunities I have to minister to folks in need. Most of the folks who call our office are hurting. Some have gone through divorce, have a family member in jail, have lost their job… the problems are too numerous to even list. It’s really not all about making money… it’s about speaking into people’s lives and meeting their needs where they are at, relieving them of the pressure of house payments that they can’t afford, and saving them from the credit disaster and embarrassment of foreclosure. It’s sometimes about putting them into a house that they can afford, and helping them repair their credit.
To be sure, many of these folks are in the situation that they are in because of poor choices they have made along the way… but many of them are there through no fault of their own.
We’re also working on a grant program in order to get down payment assistance for folks who can’t otherwise afford the down payment to get into a home!
