people love a free TV!

I posted this ad late last night on craigslist, and i have already gotten over 50 responses:

I got this in several boxes and bubble wrap from a friend who works for a refurb warehouse. It was pretty much like putting together a puzzle. It is missing all 4 inverters (which run $146 each at HHGREGG parts online), and the screen is refurb, but otherwise the unit seemed to have all new parts (most of which i unwrapped and installed myself). This unit would be perfect for additional parts if you have the same or similar TV, as a potential hobby project for someone who is a glutton for punishment, or especially if you are a TV repair shop. I found that for the average joe (like me) it was too much time, effort and $ to purchase the needed parts and fix the tv to use in my living room. Besides, my wife gave me a time limit on repairing it before it was to be removed from our bonus room, and so my hopes for a 45″ hdtv superbowl by Feb 3rd are dashed. :) Perhaps someone else will have better luck, or a more patient wife?

i also have the manufacturer’s service manual and parts list that i purchased and downloaded online from service-manual.net in pdf format. i will put that on a CD for you. that alone cost me $13, and should be worth the gas $ to come get the TV, because if you want this thing, you must pick it up at my home in Murfreesboro.

if you’re interested, email me through craigslist… but keep in mind that i have put everything i know about this thing in the ad, so i probably will not answer questions other than ‘how do i get to your house so that i can pick up my new hobby?’.

if i can’t get rid of it within the next 2 weeks, my wife will probably take it out to our backyard and put it out of it’s misery with my shotgun. for that, i will sell tickets in another ad. ;)
